Le Cinque — Privacy Policy

Le Cinque is a free language-learning game run by an individual.

WHAT WE STORE

• Your username and a one-way bcrypt hash of your password (never the password itself).
• Your game history (words shown, guesses, learned count).
• Two strictly-necessary cookies: session (login, ~24h) and player (anonymous guest id, ~1yr). No analytics or tracking cookies.
• A count of the rounds you have won in a row, in your browser's own storage. It decides how many cars drive your victory lap, is never sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data ends it.

THIRD PARTIES

When you tap the speaker, the game word (not personal data) is sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. The site is hosted on Cloudflare and Google Cloud, which may process technical data such as your IP to serve requests. Your account and game history are stored in a Neon Postgres database hosted in Singapore.
